Israel has erupted in protests following the execution of six more of the hostages taken by Hamas on October 7, 2023. The US is urgently trying to come up with a ceasefire plan, but Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is making no sign of changing course. While the protests indicate a clear dissatisfaction with the Israeli leader over his handling of the hostage situation, they don’t necessarily mean there is less support for the war on Gaza.
