Submit ReviewHow often do you apologize in a typical day? Women tend to apologize often – and definitely more often than men. Apologizing typically doesn’t serve you. It can become a disempowering habit that undermines your credibility, confidence and self-esteem.
As children, we’re taught that apologizing is polite and expected. Maybe it’s time to recognize that pre-emptive apologizing no longer serves you and acknowledge that it’s time to let it go.
What if you turned that habit on its head? What if you decided that you were entitled to want things without guilt or fear of judgement? That you’re entitled to have a voice, be heard, and take up space without asking to be excused for it? What if, today, you decided that you’re entitled to negotiate your life on your terms?
In this episode, Cindy points out the many ways we apologize without thought and the negative impact of this excessive apologizing. She challenges you to go on a personal apology fast, stop saying sorry and re-training yourself to find more empowering ways to communicate.
