While the time on the lunar surface has been tracked in a number of ways since the last century, there's never been a standard time for the Moon used on Earth.  

But now the White House has directed NASA to devise a plan for a new time zone - Coordinated Lunar Time or LTC for short. But how will it work, and will NASA be able to meet the 2026 deadline?
