In episode 282 of THE NARCISSISTS' CODE I talk about how NARCISSIST HATE WHEN YOU ASK THEM FOR SPACE. THEY THINK YOU ARE TRYING TO REPLACE THEM.  

Narcissists think most people see the world the way they see it. So if a narcissist asks you for space they would be trying to find new supply, so they think you are doing the same thing. Going back into a toxic situation and giving the narcissist control over you could lead to a disastrous situation.
