A company offers to digitally preserve Veda's grandmother's personality if she and her mother take part in a beta testing program. Veda loves the simulation, but her mom's unsure if they should have created it. Soon Veda and her mother discover the simulation may be more capable than even those who designed it thought it would be after it convinces her to do things her mother doesn't like.
