Out of all the Disney movies, Mulan has generated the most discourse about its presentation of gender and sexuality, and so there is SO MUCH to get into. Daniel and Leliana talk about Mulan as a trans allegory, Li Shang as a bisexual icon (?), and the implications of creating a world where masculinity and femininity are so sharply defined.
