It's April 24th and on this day in 2007, Manchester United came from behind to overcome Kaka's AC Milan in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final. In 'Much-Cited United', we look back at some of the most significant games in the club’s history. By doing so, we find stories we weren’t expecting to, discuss players we thought we’d forgotten and, maybe, just maybe, put a smile on your face during these strange times. Our guest for this episode is Daniel Harris, writer for the Guardian and of many books. He was also the creative producer for BUSBY, a magnificent recent film on the great United boss. Daniel talks to host Harry Robinson about that night at Old Trafford, the quality of Scholes and Rooney, why this United side was much better to watch than the 2008-Champions League winning outfit and why it didn't quite manage to win the treble. This podcast was produced by Harry Robinson in partnership with United Through Time. Get bonus content on Patreon Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
