What has the Health Service got to hide? We are reporting on two major issues this morning regarding Muckamore Abbey. The controversial seclusion room for mentally ill, vulnerable patients. The Health Service is trying to tell you that they cannot let the public see a picture of the empty room for "privacy reasons." Have you ever heard the like of it? Secondly - openness and transparency. Why is the public not getting it from the Belfast Trust? The Belfast Trust is refusing to confirm or deny MLA Pat Sheehan's claim that they had the intention to put a nurse just out of training in charge of 11 patients in Muckamore Abbey. Mr Sheehan also claimed that the intention was to have only one agency nurse and two care assistants to support the nurse. There is a major investigation as to what went on at Muckamore - and now in the context of families and the wider public needing to be reassured, the Belfast Trust is dancing around a serious accusation from an MLA that a ward in Muckamore was to be significantly understaffed. Stephen spoke to Sinn Fein MLA Pat Sheehan and Brigene McNeilly, her brother is a resident in Muckamore Abbey, she is also secretary for the Society of Parent and Friends of Muckamore.
