Hi everybody!

Are you a sports participant? A sports fan?  Or are you simply interested in learning about the huge number of global opportunities the business of sports might offer YOU?

If you fall into any of those categories. then you’ll definitely want to tune in to this episode of Looking Forward to listen to what my guest expert, Wayne Kimmel, has to say. As you’ll hear, Wayne’s living proof of how someone can capitalize on the opportunities the business of sports can offer.

Among other things, Wayne talks about (1) how the business of sports has changed dramatically over the past decade or so, and what's driving that change, (2) how the world is getting even smaller when it comes to playing or watching sporting events, (3) the increasing quest to "engage" sports fans, not only those who attend the events, but the many who do not, and (4) what the near-term future of this industry might look like.

In true Looking Forward fashion, you'll also learn about the wide array of opportunities the business of sports offers to anyone from an entrepreneur, to a tech wizard, to a customer service staff person to an investor. And, of course, you'll get some great tips from Wayne on how to ready yourself for those opportunities, and even on how to find some of them!

Now a little more about Wayne: Wayne Kimmel is a sports tech venture capitalist, entrepreneur, and author of Six Degrees of Wayne Kimmel. He is the Managing Partner of SeventySix Capital-- the venture capital company he founded in 1999-- and one that invests in startup sports betting, esports, and sports tech companies.

The Sports Business Journal named Kimmel a "Sports Tech Power Player" in 2022. He was also awarded the "2022 Most Admired CEO" award from the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Kimmel was an investor in SeamlessWeb (now public as GrubHub), Take Care Health Systems (now Walgreens’ healthcare clinics) and NutriSystem. Among the top public companies that have acquired his portfolio companies are Aramark, DraftKings, fuboTV, Intel, IBM, Walgreens and Yahoo!

Wayne also hosts the "SeventySix Capital Sports Leadership Show,"  a weekly podcast that features the sports industry’s top entrepreneurs, athletes, and thought leaders. SeventySix Capital has a strategic partnership with Rubicon Talent, a sports marketing and talent agency, and is a partner with the  American Gaming Association to promote its #HaveAGamePlan responsible sports-betting campaign.
