Season 2, Episode 24Not All Use is MisuseOn this week's Monday Motivation, I talk about how conflating all use with misuse leads to people thinking they have a problem when they don't. We see this around drugs a lot as (mostly) parents think any use is misuse or addiction. But we also saw this with the Atlanta shooting where the gunman said he had a sex and porn addiction because his church taught him that very normal feelings of arousal were problematic. What do you think? Are you in circles where any use is conflated with misuse or addiction? I want to hear from you! What do you think? Everyone who responds, either by social media or my website, will get a sticker mailed to them. The first person to respond each week will get a magnet! So reach out or post something on your personal social media and tag me (and maybe share the show in the process?)!If something in this episode upsets you, or makes you feel a certain way, take a moment and do some mindfulness.
