Submit ReviewDory Kashin is an event planner who was diagnosed at 29 with hormone positive breast cancer. After a year of active treatment and multiple rounds of fertility treatments, Dory had a miracle baby. In this episode Dory reads her piece “Mommy’s Boobs Are Different” from the 2023 “Five Years & Counting” issue of Wildfire Magazine. This is a piece about what happened after her young daughter observed that mom’s body had changed. April and Dory will discuss being open, cultivating resilience and guiding our children as they develop awareness about breast cancer, Dory’s own experience with a family legacy of breast cancer, and feeling different from others as a young and new mother who has had a breast cancer diagnosis. They will also discuss how Dory went from talking about her breast cancer experience to writing about it.
