We thought wrong. This is yet another LOADED episode of Mike, Mike, and Oscar Weekly filled with tons of cool things to review, great audience interactions to report, a fascinating box office to recap, and a week filled with major hollywood news & new trailers to debate & analyze. One Mike went back to watching movies, while the other watched a ton of cable TV. So we cover just about everything from everywhere you can watch stuff at home this week from The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind to Survivor, from West Side Story to MTV’s The Challenge, from True Detective Season 3 to Amazon Prime documentaries about Nintendo. Then we continue our movie trivia game, SixDegreesOfMMO, and we announced the winners from Florence Pugh to Kendrick Lamar before your next challenge. We also answered an audience question about Academy history concerning the best tandem of Supporting/Lead Thespians since 2000. The box office update forces us to ask some intriguing questions about pre- & post Oscars movie going. Then we discuss a series of hollywood news topics reported upon over the past week. Captain Marvel isn’t he only potential Oscar film coming out next week, Glenn Close wants another chance at that trophy after agreeing to Sunset Boulevard, Netflix may try out a new release strategy with The Irishman, we have opposing views on the Steven Spielberg comments & the new Ghostbusters reboot, there’s a new Michael Jackson documentary, & Rami Malek wants to be a Bond villain! What a week of news, and we’re all over it. Detective Pikachu, Dark Phoenix, and the new Hellboy also debuted trailers for us to give you thoughts. Yes, we covered the hell out of those Oscars, & we’re very proud of how we previewed the big event from our OSPs to our Scott Feinberg interview to our Category Reviews to OUR own award show, the MMO’s. Yes, we recapped that big show with our reactions & then a fascinating interview with Awards Circuit’s Clayton Davis to discuss the fallout. But once again, yes, we’ve also transitioned nicely to this year with our 2 part series on the 2020 Oscar Predictions to this episode of MMOW to our Captain Marvel preview & review episodes coming soon. As always, let us know what you think. We’re at MMandOscar on Twitter, and we are on Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, and Gmail. You can subscribe / rate / review / like / share / & listen to us on iTunes, Soundcloud, Stitcher, Google Play, Tune In, Spotify, and just about wherever you listen to podcasts. When reality sucks, keep watching movies with us. We’re Mike, Mike, & Oscar!
