After a month of stops & starts with Six Degrees, you gave us an abundance of material to present & discuss with this past week’s submissions. From Linda Hamilton’s Beauty & the Beast to Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, from Steve Guttenberg to Maya Hawke, you truly outdid yourselves this week with all the fun references & connections we enjoyed in this segment. Great job as always, and there’s a new challenge for you to crush for next week. We begin the episode with some current affairs though. There’s a new Fast & Furious film to review in Hobbs & Shaw. We also cover Skin, Ugly Dolls, and The Red Sea Diving Resort. Plus, Mike 1 finally sees John Wick, and we even give you a book recommendation in the process. Then it’s box office time as we discuss all of Disney’s success, analyze how Once Upon a Time in Hollywood held up in its second weekend, and we highlight the specialty box office of The Farewell & Luce. There were new trailers for Little Monsters, The Hunt, American Dreamers, Tigers Are Not Afraid, Mindhunter, and After The Wedding. Plus, we share some more audience interaction to the poster for Sextuplets before we review that bizarre first look. Finally, we close with Do You Care(?) with lightning round responses to next week’s theatrical releases like The Kitchen & Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, and a range of stories including slasher films made into TV shows, the MCU / Comic Con fallout, the next stab at a Dungeons & Dragons movie, Nic Cage as the next king of camp, Dune, an Elvis Biopic, and of course, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. We covered a ton of stuff yet again, and we want to know your thoughts. Send us your comments, concerns, & for certain, your next wave of SixDegreesOfMMO submissions. We’re at MMandOscar on Twitter, and we are on Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, and Gmail. You can subscribe / rate / review / like / share / & listen to us on iTunes, Soundcloud, Stitcher, Google Play, Tune In, Spotify, and just about wherever you listen to podcasts.
