The project aims to accelerate the deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities across the U.S. federal government, improving aspects such as Medicare and tax filing processes. The supercomputer will be located in Ashburn, Va., and operational by year-end. The collaboration is part of President Biden's efforts to ensure the U.S. remains a leading AI power. MITRE's supercomputer will utilize 256 Nvidia graphics processing units and will provide an AI "sandbox" accessible to federal agencies for various tasks, such as military command and control and cryptocurrency market analysis.
