Lily Meyersohn is a talented young author newly out of college that I met recently who’s written eloquently about grief, family, youth, and relationships. She’s our guest this week sharing her journey experiencing grief first hand with her family and friends, and the hesitance she’s feeling as spring blooms not to jump out and re-engage with the beautiful sensual world, but to pause, and use meditation to stay present and process her own grief and her sense of shared grief.I think you’ll enjoy Lily’s short story in this episode, in which she talks about getting immunized, the pain of being cut off from family and friends, her grandparents’ aging and dying process, and how mindfulness meditation has helped her stay with grief in ways that are productive and healing. In the second part of Lily’s episode, she guides on a personalized mindfulness meditation based on the Mindfulness and Grief meditations of Roshi Joan Halifax that help accept and process grief.Mindfulness and Grief
