Jeff McIlwain’s music has been providing a buoyant soundtrack for my life (and long runs!) for a number of years now. In my excitement about his latest release as Lusine, I reached out to his label, Ghostly International, to set up an interview and they kindly obliged. Jeff and I chat here about the path that led him to success as an electronic musician, his fondness for manipulating vocal tracks, and his latest album, Sensorimotor. I started out the show with a bunch of updates about what I am up to in the coming months. I love a bulleted list: * The second annual MikeyPod Live! podcast will be on June 28th in NYC. More details TBA * I’ll be presenting with Eban Crawford at Moogfest 2017 in Durham, NC. May 18-21 * The Animal Show Summer Tour kicks off in Houston, TX on July 8th. * I’m a featured guest on today’s episode of the Powerpress Podcast.
