Born in St. Louis and raised in Baltimore, Mike started playing banjo at age 15. Well-known throughout the mid-Atlantic area, Mike currently tours with Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen, a highly acclaimed contemporary bluegrass band with multiple Grammy nominations. Mike is an IBMA “Banjo Player of the Year” award winner, and is equally well-known for his knowledge and expertise in banjo set-ups
