Every year 25,000 Australian men are diagnosed with prostate cancer. As screening and treatments improve, more men are living longer with the disease but a cancer diagnosis can still have a significant impact on mental health.

A study from the University of South Australia says 40% of men are at risk of mental distress following a prostate cancer diagnosis and mental health support should be part of every treatment plan.
