Dr. Bob Rotella, who authored ‘Golf Is Not A Game Of Perfect’, joins us on this episode of Chasin’ Birdies to discuss the mental perspective of sports psychology. Doc explains how he got into the sports world and how his work eventually met the game of golf.
We talk about the practices he teaches along with the golfers and athletes he has had the chance to work with. Doc is a big proponent of believing you can whether it’s on the course or in the business world. He has worked with coaches and CEOs to help foster a better winning environment.
The episode includes talk of PGA Tour players he has worked with including Rory, Justin Thomas, Jim Furyk, and Curtiss Strange to name a few. He draws correlation to the amateur golfer playing for nothing, literally nothing, relative to a PGA Tour player who has just played for $2 million. Doc reveals that pressure is created in our OWN minds and how we control the pressure is ultimately led by your mental state of mind.
This episode of Chasin’ Birdies is one of the more unique episodes and will be sure to keep your interest level high. We hope you enjoy this one as much as we enjoyed interviewing Dr. Bob.
