Submit ReviewGrab your favorite beer and fast-food dessert. Beergirl Mel is back, and she’s hungry! On Batch 379, we’re talking about weird, empty taprooms, figuring out why beer is so expensive, going to bars that show adult movies, and getting high at Oktoberfest!
-
Mel drinks Dexterous, a Helles lager from Aspire Brewing in New York. Flex is sipping on Mikerphone Brewing’s Key Lime Cheesecake Incident. And Greg is reviewing Castle Made of Clouds, a milkshake IPA from Gnarly Barley Brewing out of Louisiana.

Remember Kings and Convicts, the brewery that bought Ballast Point? Turns out they have an extremely awkward taproom, complete with lawn chairs and nobody in it. Please let us know if you’ve been there! Then we discover that Mel doesn’t represent her roots, and Flex has to teach us Italian. And Mel tells us about a great “Gentleman’s Club” with excellent steaks.
-
This week’s Ludicrous Libation Law comes straight out of Connecticut.

In Booze News: Conor McGregor has released a creamy stout (sounds weird) in the United States. We get to the bottom of beer prices and what’s going on. Coop Ale Works is bringing us something we never needed: hard seltzers with jelly. Octoberfest 2023 sets a new attendance record but fails to sell much beer. The Germans were much more into the “white stuff.” And a Wisconsin bar is getting rid of their favorite draw: “porn in the morn.”
