Over 120 years ago, Hinemihi, one of the Maori's oldest existing meeting houses was taken from her home in Te Wairoa, Aotearoa-New Zealand. After years of negotiation, there has now been a breakthrough in the effort to bring her home from her current location in the gardens of an English country house. Architect Anthony Hoete lead the negotiations and joins Blueprint to explain the significance of Hinemihi and the role of wharenui (meeting houses) in Maori culture and life.
