McKamey Manor is a "haunted house" where guests are tortured, beat up, and nearly drowned, and it has a waitlist of over 20,000 people. In the late 90s and early 2000s, an amateur haunted house enthusiast, Russ McKamey, started hosting "haunts" in his backyard. Over the years he began to attract attention as these haunted house experiences became more and more extreme. By the late 2010s, he started to become nationally known for the fact that McKamey Manor had somehow devolved into an 8 hour torture session where guests consented to being beaten up, drowned, covered in bugs and snakes, and pushed to their psychological breaking point. But, despite the fact that everyone involved is a consenting adult, many thing McKamey Manor should be shut down.
