Submit ReviewBHL: Next –Rhelin T sits down with singer Maurice Moore as he talks about his latest EP Destination Unknown!
@Mauricemoore
An artist whose material alternates between romantic and carefree modes with easygoing flair, Maurice Moore is among a crop of Canadians with a like-minded approach to contemporary R&B. The singer and songwriter, originally from Springfield, Illinois and raised in Ottawa, spent his early years developing his athletic and musical talents. While attending prep school in Connecticut, his interest in football waned as he made late-hour strides with music. Once he opted to devote all his energy to writing and singing, he connected with a Toronto-based management company and in 2015 started releasing tracks such as "Ready" and "Sex U Back 2 Sleep." Moore's singles multiplied during 2016 and 2017, a period highlighted by "The Loudest Silence." By the end of the latter year, Moore released The Amber Room, a full-length he classified as a mixtape. Also a frequent collaborator, Moore has supported recordings by the likes of Mickey Shiloh, Paces, and JYDN.
