Submit ReviewWhen a patient at a fertility clinic wandered into an Alabama cryogenic embryo storage room in 2020, they caused a chain of events that has left the US state's IVF sector reeling.
Several embryos were destroyed when the patient dropped them. Three couples brought lawsuits against the clinic; which lead to the question: Is a frozen embryo considered a child under Alabama state law? Well, the Supreme Court of Alabama ruled that, yes, a frozen embryo is indeed a child.
In this episode of The Quicky, we take a look at the implications of this High Court decision, and the likelihood of something like this happening here in our own IVF clinics.
