This week on Comes A Time Mike and Oteil are joined by one of the most talented musicians on the planet- the one-and-only Marco Benevento! You’ll hear Marco talk about his upcoming record and the experience of playing all of the instruments on the album, touring with Mike Gordon, Joe Russo, and Trey Anastasio as GRAB back in the early 2000’s, and the deeply emotional experience of returning to the stage after being sidelined for over a year during the pandemic. The guys also talk about Marco’s newly-renovated studio and it’s connection to Levon Helm’s famous barn, Oteil and Kofi’s last gig that they played together, and Marco’s psychedelic animal farm.

Marco Benevento is a world-class pianist, singer, songwriter, and producer best-known for his solo work, as well as his playing with Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, the Benevento/Russo Duo, and GRAB. He has toured and performed all over the world, enrapturing fans of all genres with his eloquently fluent playing style and creative approach to both songwriting and improvisation. Aside from releasing 7 (soon to be 8) stellar studio records, Marco is also the co-founder of Royal Potato Family, an independent record label home to some of your favorite artists including The New Mastersounds, Neal Casal, Yellowbirds, Scott Metzger and many other exceptional musicians.
