Dominican actor Manny Pérez is one of the most recognizable Latino character actors in Hollywood with, with a face he describes as, “the kind you just don’t want to take to meet the parents, for fear of being mugged”! But that face and his talent as an actor has landed him roles in shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Special Victims Unit, CSI: Miami, Criminal Minds, Third Watch, The Blacklist, Luke Cage, Elementary and Homeland to name just a few. And with 55 credits to his name, he’s even outpacing his own age (52). Now he’s making his directorial debut with “La Soga Salvation”, a film he also wrote, produced and stars in, based on a real-life hitman he once encountered in his native DR, actually doing a hit! Now, if you could just be better about supporting Latino projects no matter the country of origin, then we would all be hitting it big as Latinos.
