LTMR Hindsight is a series of podcasts that allows for a more in depth discussion about an area of film that we often don’t get to talk about when discussing an individual movie. For part one of our fourth episode of LTMR Hindsight, we prepare for the release of the James Bond films, Skyfall, by looking back at all of the James Bond themes from all the official James Bond films since 1962.  In October of 2012, Garth Franklin of Dark Horizons ranked and published all the James Bond themes (sans Skyfall), for worst to best.  That caused us to want to see what how we would rank the themes.  So four of us got together and argued over what is the best Bond theme.  Twenty-three songs, four reviewers, and four different number ones.  Join us as we take a break from the norm and we talk about music and some of our memories of the films that they come from. LUNCHTIME MOVIE REVIEW RANKINGS (Average of the four reviewers) * “Live and Let Die” by Paul McCartney The Wings from the film Live and Let Die * “You Know My Name” by Chris Cornell from the film Casino Royale * “A View To A Kill” by Duran Duran from the film A View To A Kill * “Goldfinger” by Shirley Bassey from the film Goldfinger * “You Only Live Twice” by Nancy Sinatra from the film You Only Live Twice * “The World Is Not Enough” by Garbage from the film The World Is Not Enough * “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service Title Theme” by John Barry Orchestra from the film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service * “James Bond Theme/Kingston Calypso/Three Blind Mice” by Monty Norman from the film Dr. No * “Nobody Does It Better” by Carly Simon from the film The Spy Who Loved Me * “Another Way To Die” by Jack White  Alicia Keys from the film Quantum of Solace * “Thunderball” by Tom Jones from the film Thunderball * “From Russia With Love (Instrumental)” by John Barry from the film From Russia With Love * “GoldenEye” by Tina Turner from the film Goldeneye * “Diamonds Are Forever” by Shirley Bassey from the film Diamonds Are Forever
