So we saved some fun stuff for today’s MMOW, but we still got lucky enough to talk about the latest award shows. Texas movie theaters reopened, Lionsgate bumped most of their schedule to 2021, and Tribeca announced their virtual film fest winners, including our review of Netflix’s latest & greatest romcom, The Half Of It. Then we also divulge far too much about our childhoods when we talk about the Kids Choice Award winners. The Last Dance teaches one Mike a new mantra as the other relives a former life of pain at the hands of Michael Jordan. But we both learn quite a lot about celebrity & sportsmanship. The Parks and Rec reunion special makes us happy, and SNL Live At Home stays funny. We also critique the many highs & lows of the NFL Draft telecast. What We’re Watching delivers a bunch more reviews as Mike1 finished Succession on HBO while AlsoMike dove into the SXSW films on Amazon Prime, and we both reviewed Netflix properties like The Willoughbys, I Am Not Okay With This, and The Babysitter. DYC previews both what we missed last week and what’s coming out next on VOD & streaming. Then we get excited for some upcoming projects as Jordan Peele’s Lovecraft Country debuted its first trailer, The Hunger Games announced it’s prequel, Hellraiser is coming back, and Olivia Wilde made some great casting moves for her next film. Unfortunately, we lost another 2 great actors last week. So we must pay tribute to Irrfan Khan and Sam Lloyd before celebrating another terrific installment of Six Degrees. As always, we want to know your thoughts, and if you’re enjoying the show, do please leave us a 5 star rating on Apple Podcasts to help us out. We’re at MMandOscar on Twitter, and we are on Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, and Gmail. You can subscribe / rate / review / like / share / & listen to us on Apple Podcasts, Soundcloud, Stitcher, Google Play, Tune In, Spotify, and just about wherever you might listen. We’re Mike, Mike, & Oscar, and we’re making awards season year round, without the stuffiness. Thanks for listening.
