Submit ReviewVictorian First Nations Senator Lidia Thorpe made global news after interrupting a reception for the King in Canberra, and using the protest to demand a Treaty for Australia's First Nations people.
The Senator told Radio National Breakfast she doesn't "subscribe to assimilating" to the colonial structure - and warns the public she'll be in the role for another three years and "to get used to truth-telling". She's called on the King to show leadership and apologise of the ongoing impact of colonialism.
