In December last year NSW Transport Minister Andrew Constance, a moderate Liberal who had criticised Prime Minister Scott Morrison's response to the Black Saturday bushfires, resigned his seat to run for the federal electorate of Gilmore. Gilmore was the only seat Labor won from the Coalition in the 2019 election, and his chances looked good. Now, with nine days to go until the election, his campaign appears to be in trouble. ABC Illawarra Drive presenter Lindsay McDougall joins James Glenday and Melissa Clarke to look at the race for Gilmore.
