Submit ReviewCompetition isn’t always a good thing. How much is “winning” wrapped up in white supremacy? Are you too harsh on your child when they lose or fail? Is your competitive nature clouding your judgement as a parent? How can we practice more patience, love & understanding when raising our children so that they grow to be self-confident, good global citizens?
We all think our children are special. And they are...but they aren’t more special than anyone else’s children. Or any other human for that matter--win or lose. It is imperative that as parents raising free children in this new world, that we instill this humility and perspective in them.
Join our host, Noleca, her husband, Homero, and the black parents of a 15-year-old competitive gymnast, Toni and Tori Kelly and they discuss the complexities of sport.
