Recently, NBA player, LeBron James, expressed his displeasure of being snubbed of the MVP award. In a post game conference, he didn't mince words, he simply stated, "[The voting process] It pissed me off." So, with me being inspired by his frustration and reasoning, I decided to revisit the 2003 season. A season in which the Devils did win the Stanley Cup, however our goalie, Marty Brodeur, came up short of winning the Conn Smythe award to a Mighty Ducks player (Worth mentioning that was the team we beat in the 2003 Stanley Cup Finals). So, let's see how stats and narrative play out in an MVP voting process.
