DF: You are listening to
languagecaster.com’s football-language podcast. Welcome everyone to the podcast for all those interested in improving their English skills and who love
the beautiful game of football. My name is Damian and I am here in a slightly cooler London – the temperatures have finally dropped here – and as many of our regular listeners will know the other half of the languagecaster team is Damon and he’s in Tokyo and although today he cannot be with us ‘live’ – we will, however, be hearing from him later on in the show.
Line-up
It’s the first weekend of the new Premier League season and already there has been lots of excitement, great goals and of course some controversy and although the pre-season seemed to be very short it’s great to have club football back! Now, on this week’s podcast we will be giving our predictions for this season – hopefully you won’t be laughing too much at them at the end of the season 🙂 . We will also be predicting some of the big games from this week’s opening set of matches from the Premier League and reminding you all that we have another predictions competition where you, the listener, can play as well. We also explain some football language that has emerged from the week and we have a football-language question as well.
