There’s been so much flooding that Tulare Lake has re-emerged. It was once the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi, and was mostly dry for more than a century.

Thousands die annually while waiting for a heart, kidney, or liver transplant. The U.S. government now says it wants to overhaul the nation’s organ transplant system.

Critics review the latest film releases: “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves,” “Rye Lane,” “A Thousand and One,” and “The Five Devils.”
