Kyrie Irving shocked a lot of people on Monday when he, somewhat out of nowhere, decided to pick up his player option for next season, opting to return to the Brooklyn Nets. After rumors he would opt out and was seeking a trade, Irving reversed course and decided to remain with Brooklyn for at least another year beside Kevin Durant. It’s a (hopefully) very positive set of nets for the Nets who were going to be in somewhat dire straits if Irving decided to opt out and sign with another team this off season.
