Kim is one of the kindest, most empathetic people I have had the pleasure of being friends with now for almost a decade. She has deep faith. She is fiercely loved by her family and friends and she fiercely loves them back, HARD. Her mother and father taught her good values and had her and her 2 older brothers in church at least 3 times a week and shared family meals daily. And her mother is a prayer warrior who believes in glory. Kim is smart. She is a veterinarian. We met at Barry’s Boot camp almost a decade ago and bonded over our love of intense working out (a past life to me now haha). This convo is so inspiring. Kim shares how her childhood was truly the dream and goal for us all as humanity. All walks of life, every race and color, loving together with respect and harmony on a military base. What a world to live in! Kim tells me how she has recently felt fear just for being black. She is a traveling vet and is in Utah for an extended time working at a clinic. But bc of COVID, she has to walk to patients cars that don’t recognize her or know she’s their vet. She said it has been the most difficult thing she has ever experienced seeing people respond with fear to her just bc she is a black woman they don’t know approaching them. This episode offers so much love and insight and we share some fun laughs about our love of tequila and wine.
