This week's parsha contains 74 mitzvahs, which is more than any other Torah portion.

We begin with the laws and procedures concerning a soldier who wants to marry a female captive of war. It also discusses the inherent right of a firstborn son to a double portion of his father's inheritance.

Our Parsha contains multitudes of notable commandments. For example, returning a lost object to its owner, the obligation to send away the mother bird before taking her young, the law against wearing shatnez (any garment that contains a mixture of wool and linen), and the mitzvah of wearing Tzitzis. There’s also the prohibition against taking interest when loaning money to a fellow Jew and the laws regarding divorce. The Parsha ends off with the mitzvah to remember what Amalek did to us on our journey through the desert.

We find out why it is detrimental to hate the Egyptians, even though they caused us so much pain.

We learn what is a victimhood mentality and how to combat it to achieve success.

Have a great Shabbos!
