In the first game of the season, the Nets really never got started. Kevin Durant was able to pour in some scoring when he finally got started, but the rest of the team (and even KD early) really struggled in this matchup against the Pelicans. They had no real answer for Zion Williamson and Jonas Valanciunas down low and the Pelicans were able to do almost everything they wanted. Ben Simmons fouled out with just two points, five assists, and five rebounds and there weren’t a ton of positives here.
