Katie Hughes has been changing the world with her Girls Build program. She trains girls aged 8-14 in the trades and has been running a successful program for a number of years. You might have caught her on an episode of Mike Rowe Returning the Favor a few years ago. https://www.facebook.com/1938059449798649/videos/1944905522447375

She has now written a book called Girls Who Build where she features 45 girls showing off their can-do attitudes and 13 do-it-herself projects. We talk about her program and the book.

We also discuss what electrical circuits are needed in a kitchen and bathroom NOW compared to what it used to be. This is important info if you are thinking about making changes to both rooms. You might be surprised at what changes have happened over the last few years.
