Episode 106 Katelynn Schippnick31 year-old mother of five Katelynn Schippnick had moved from her home in New Jersey to Florence County, South Carolina trying to make a fresh start for herself following legal problems. But sadly, she would never get the chance to reach her goal as her life was cut short allegedly at the hands of her boyfriend, and father of two of her children. It was clear to some that Katelynn was in an abusive relationship with a man that had a long criminal record, and although people including her sister Amanda tried to take her out of that situation, Katelynn could not be saved. In May, 2021, she was found dead, and it was clear that she was the victim of foul play, and had been beaten to death. Police locked in on her boyfriend Derrick Brunson who denied involvement; going as far as to say that Katelynn's death was an accident or even suicide. Police did not believe his story and he was arrested for her murder and is currently awaiting trial. Katelynn's sister Amanda discusses the case in this episode as well as her efforts to help remove Katelynn from an abusive relationship.
