Whoa! That's a lot of Shmi! In this episode, Becca and Devon sit-down to discuss the Women in the galaxy far, far away. Women, in Star Wars, are like bookends. In other words, they support those around them, keeping the other characters upright and on the right path. One example of this analogy is Anakin Skywalker. Shmi is a bookend to keeping the chosen one inline and Padme' is the other pillar that keeps him in check. So, one might say, the women in his life were the bookends to his self-consciousness. That said, you strap yourselves in for this extra extra episode of Kanata's Castle!

Women in the Galaxy far, far away are such an integral part of the Star Wars saga. So, to honor them and their roles in the Star Wars universe, Becca and Devon are ready to pay tribute by discussing as many women characters as they can, starting with Shmi Skywalker. As they work their way through the saga, they will be looking at character arcs and support systems by the women in the galaxy far, far away. In essence, highlighting the importance of bookend roles and how that characteristic enhances other characters and the storyline as well.
