Welcome back to Gameweek at Locked on Seminoles! Drake and Dave continue discussions of the Duquesne game, this time offering one key stat they each need to see on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball when the ‘Noles (finally!) take the field this Saturday in their Week 0 season opener. Next, the guys do what Mike Norvell can’t: look ahead past Duquesne. First, they look to FSU’s second game against LSU in New Orleans Week 1. Specifically, they discuss the Tigers’ suspensions of DB Raydarious Jones and RB John Emery, which will keep both players out of the lineup against Florida State, and what impact this should have on our expectations of that game. Finally, the guys look even further ahead, this time to Miami. Not the game, however, but rather a comment made by FSU Athletics Director Mike Alford, who told ESPN he would be rooting for the Miami Hurricanes when they take on Texas A&M. As you can imagine, and as you probably do too, Drake and Dave have plenty to say about whether they would or could ever root for Miami (spoiler alert: gig ‘em Aggies), no matter how good a Miami win supposedly is for the ACC.
