The tiny community of Cape Negro in Shelburne County, Nova Scotia, was clearly overdue for a re-brand. The cape was named by the colonial explorer Samuel de Champlain, in 1604. Sailing around the coast naming everything he saw, he spied the black rocks and decided they looked like a person of African descent. The name stuck until 2023 when the community decided to change it's name to Eel Bay. We discuss the silly outrage that followed.
