JONES COFFEE ROASTERS 693 S Raymond Rd. Pasadena, California HOOTIE  HOO, ROASTERS,  and the DOMINATRIX, episode 27, part two. It all started with Finca Dos Marias (“the farm of the two Marias”), where in the 1870's the Jones Family began producing some of the best coffee in the country in the highlands of Guatemala. Just how many notes are there in each cup of coffee. Renowned roaster Rafael at this coffee and roastery knows.  This is a true deep dive into the “art and science” of roasting. Is it possible that hugging a tree can have a very positive effect on the cup of that coffee you drink? and will the coffee taste better if the workers are treated with respect and dignity? Is this new age pseudo-sci,or real proven science? How do you find the balance between a job that you love, and the demands of day to day living, including  long hours and a family that needs you. What changed in Raphael’s life when he began mixing coca cola and coffee together? Is it true that the best cup of coffee, is the coffee that you are drinking at the moment? Love the one you're with, that sounds like coffee blasphemy! From being accomplished musicians, composing, recording, writing soundtracks, and scoring movies, to acting in major motion pictures and (if that weren't enough) now playing in a band called Jones, these two people are truly living the California dream. Who carries a whip, a cello, and bore the mark of Zorro etched on her face? What happens to artists when you get to play only the music you want to. You had better keep up! We found out why not staying in your lane really works for Heather and Dan. Find out who the megawatt star mystery artist was that Heather spent the day singing and recording with. Would you recognize him? Hint: he just happens to be the number one singer songwriter of all time based on Rolling Stone. How does a person, (who isn’t a boxer) get knocked out three times, and what do you do when you wake up underneath a van. Who knew that music could be so dangerous. These and many more questions will be asked,  answered and bandied around in this fast paced, hi-jinx filled interview. I smell sitcom for Heather and Dan Which boss told Jebra “well I guess you won't drink all the profits”? From accountant to adult virgin coffee drinker, to winning awards at cupping competition's, just how did these twists and turns happen. Ask Jebra’s husband what happens when she has reached her limit after repetitively telling him not to do something. A beer can may be involved. You would think one would learn from this experience... did he? From Stumptown Roasters in Oregon to Jones Coffee in California. The art and balance of a side job and a professional musical career...ahh the glamour of it all. We found out how a yuletide surprise song performance before her first live audience led Bridget into her lifelong dreams of a professional musical career. Just how did a paper towel design lead to a permanent change in her life. From barista to recording artist performing all over the country. What are the downsides of being a touring musician “out on the road”. This is the Link for The Graylings Bridget's band and other music projects! The Graylings:  www.thegraylingsmusic.com.  www.zachandbridget.com This and much, much more, including how to help support the Cross Country Coffee Roadshow with season two!
