John works as a wilderness guide specializing in outdoor education and self-awareness by enhancing the powerful human connection with nature. As the owner of Rocky Mountain Backpacking, an outdoor adventure company based out of Santa Fe, New Mexico, John strives to share his passion for the natural world. John has travelled extensively throughout the American west as well as abroad. He has covered vast distances on foot with the sheer intention toward self-discovery and self-reliance, while navigating some of the most wild and remote places in existence. He is the proud and loving father of a 6-year old little girl who reminds him every day of the joys life brings.
