John Billings started gigging throughout the east coast as a kid. He moved to LA at age 20 to follow his dream of becoming a touring and session bassist. Unhappy with how things worked out in LA, 8 years later he moved to Nashville. One month later, he found himself on tour in Brazil with Donna Summer, a gig which he held for 17 years. Since then, he’s played or toured with The Monkees, Wynonna Judd, Rick Springfield, The Wooten Brothers, Lee Ann Womack, Patti LaBelle, Lita Ford, Paul Anka, Gary Lewis & The Playboys, Steve Cropper, John Corabi, Wolf Hoffmann, Nancy Wilson, Vinnie Moore, Michael Angelo, Shemekia Copeland, The Atomic Punks, Eddy Raven & others. He was touring with Micky Dolenz from the Monkees before Covid. He also produces and engineers music videos and owns a bar called Wine Down Nashville.
