Hailing from Illinois, Jaelen completed her undergraduate degree in environmental biology and furthered her education with a master's in reproductive physiology in fishes. Today, Jaelen is pursuing her PhD at James Cook University in Australia, where she dives deep into the world of stingrays and their ecological importance. As a gifted science communicator, Jaelen shares her knowledge and experiences with a wide audience, inspiring future generations to protect the ocean.
