New research has found social media is fuelling significant anxiety about genital appearance amongst young women, and that's being blamed for dramatic rise in labiaplasty.

Labiaplasty refers to the surgery to reduce the size of the skin around the uretha and vagina, with almost one quarter of women aged 18-24 feel anxious, embarrassed or unhappy about the appearance of their labia - according to the research.
