Lots of fans and media still want to speculate on the possibility of the Cleveland Browns signing DeAndre Hopkins, but there are issues to it. Hopkins set to turn 31 shortly would still command a pretty high salary. The Browns can match that but other things factor in. Hopkins would not get his usual target rate, the Browns wide receiver room is just too deep. The room is currently built for the present, and the future. Bringing in Nuk would dwarf to growth path for the future of the room. Also it would most likely cost one of the young wide outs their roster spot. The signing could work but there is a lot of variables some won't consider.

The Browns released veteran offensive tackle Joe Haeg, who was injured for almost all of 2022. There are younger, cheaper players who can fill his spot.

The Buffalo Bills just signed more defensive line help showing that teams that feel they are true contenders never rest on their laurels when it comes to defensive line play. Simply put the Browns need more help there.
