When Jayden Daniels departed Tempe, Arizona for Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the Arizona State Sun Devils football team was sent into a tailspin. Between Trenton Bourguet and Paul Tyson, there was next to no optimism for the Sun Devils' offense following spring practices. But then, Emory Jones, a starting quarterback for the Florida Gators in 2021, announced his intentions to transfer to Arizona State University and the perception of the offense drastically changed. While it still wasn't seen as some elite-caliber offense with Jones at the helm, we felt a little more confident that Arizona State Sun Devils football could score some points. That hasn't been the case nearly enough this year and now we are wondering if the Emory Jones era of Arizona State Sun Devils football should come to an end or not. At 2-5 on the year, the season feels all but over for ASU, but does that mean closing the book on Jones's tenure as the starting quarterback, even if just for one week? Tune in as host Richie Bradshaw gives the argument for and against Emory Jones remaining the starting quarterback for Arizona State Sun Devils football on this edition of the Locked On Sun Devils podcast.
